Cotton Yarn

Cotton yarn is the most flexible and used yarn in the textile and apparel industry. This is a type of natural and plant yarn made of plat fiber. Cotton comes from a plant that is cultivated specially for manufacturing yarn and fabrics. After the plant is ripen the raw cotton comes out and they are collected, after collecting the fibers are spun into yarn with various process. Cotton is comfortable, odor free and warm yarn that can also be used in the summer season because they act differently. Few decades ago, cottons were the dominating force of textile and apparel industry.

Polyester Yarn

Polyester yarns are the most used yarn in the world for now. Polyester are made of synthetic materials and they are unnatural yarn types. Currently 70% of the textile yarns are synthetic and 55% of them are polyester yarn. This yarn is durable and flexible to mix with many other yarn types. Sometimes fabric manufactures are mixing polyester with cotton, silk and other yarns so that they become more useable and they can be modified for more functionality. Polyester yarn is highly flammable and they can cause body odor but they have some good sides too. They are less absorbent and can be dried in a very short time.

Silk Yarn

One of the most fancy and soft yarn that is used for making high end textile fabrics. Besides they can also be mixed with synthetic fibers like polyester, linen and other. Silk is only yarn manufactured from any insect. The silk moth is responsible for all the silk shaping and they are can modify the quality of silk. Silk moth is there for centuries and people have found out the necessary option for collecting silk yarn from them. We can also call them animal fiber. Silk is soft, comfortable and can be used for making luxury clothing. Because they are rare now a days a lot of development have been done in the textile industry by making synthetic way of making silk yarn. Normally synthetic silk is called artificial silk and they perfectly resemble natural silk. Though we can not compare these two silks but yea we can say that they are identical in terms of quality and feel.

Nylon Yarn

Nylon yarn is one of the most popular synthetic yarn that was developed in 1935. The textile and apparel industry have been working on developing it more and they are like polyester but nylon is a bit rough yarn used for making working clothing. Because they are very durable and comes with super strength, work clothing is made of this yarn. Not only clothing they are also being used in industrial reasons including parachutist and flak vest and even they can made to tires too. 

Rayon Yarn

Rayon yarn is plant synthetic yarn that is made from cellulose and pulp of plants. There are verities of methods those are being used for making rayon fibers and rayon fibers are spun into yarn. One of the most popular method of making rayon yarn is viscose method. Rayon fiber is very light weight fiber that is being used for women comfortable clothing. This fiber is also highly processed with chemicals and they become more efficient. In the beginning stage the fiber seems to have no feature and cannot be understood the properties. Rayon has a very nice physical structure and it looks great.
